Logistics Manager (Import and Export)

Job Summary

The Logistics Manager is responsible for managing the company’s end-to-end logistics operations, covering inbound and outbound shipments, import and export, transportation, loading/unloading, freight forwarding, and logistics service providers. Ensures timely, cost-effective, compliant, and efficient movement of materials and finished goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily inbound and outbound logistics operations, including shipment planning, dispatch, delivery, loading, and unloading.
• Oversee import and export operations, including shipment booking, customs clearance, documentation, and coordination with relevant parties.
• Manage and negotiate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, trucking companies, customs brokers, and other logistics providers.
• Monitor shipment schedules, delivery performance, truck turnaround time, and cargo movement.
• Ensure proper logistics documentation and compliance with customs, trade, safety, and company requirements.
• Monitor and control logistics costs, including freight, trucking, handling, demurrage, detention, and other related charges.
• Coordinate closely with Procurement, Warehouse, Production, Planning, Sales, and Finance to ensure smooth material and product movement.
• Lead and supervise the Logistics team, ensuring productivity, accountability, and adherence to operational standards.
• Develop and monitor logistics KPIs and implement cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Resolve logistics issues, delays, shipment discrepancies, cargo damages, and other operational concerns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in Logistics/Supply Chain, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Strong experience in Inbound & Outbound Logistics, Import/Export, Freight Forwarding, and Transportation Management.
• Proven experience in freight negotiation and 3PL/service provider management.
• Experience in manufacturing/FMCG/food industry is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willing to be assigned in Darong, Sta. Cruz Davao del Sur.
