Logistics Officer (Customer & Transport Planning) – Food Industry | Beveren-Waas

About the Role

For a family-owned food company with a flat structure and fast decision-making, we are looking for a Logistics Officer in the Beveren-Waas region. You are the kind of person who keeps a cool head when things move fast, enjoys customer contact, and likes making the puzzle fit: orders, production, transport and delivery—on time, every time.

Your Mission

You are responsible for the end-to-end logistics flow using the company's ERP system, and you act as a key link between customers, production and transport.

Your Responsibilities

• Receive and process orders in the ERP system, and plan them efficiently
• Coordinate with production planners to ensure orders are prepared on time
• Take ownership of a part of the production planning yourself
• Plan, organize and optimize outbound deliveries to customers and distributors
• Request transport orders from external carriers and manage internal drivers
• Be the first point of contact for customers and distributors
• Handle and follow up on logistics-related complaints
• Report directly to the company owners and collaborate daily with drivers, production planners, warehouse staff, quality, customers, distributors and suppliers

Your Profile

• Logistics education or equivalent experience
• Strong communication skills and customer mindset
• Calm under pressure, solution-driven, and hands-on
• Able to work independently and stay flexible
• Languages: Dutch + French (English is a strong plus)
• Comfortable working with ERP tools and planning priorities

Working Hours & Benefits

• Day schedule between 08:00 and 18:00
• 1–2 early shifts/week: start between 02:30–03:30, finish around 09:00 → then you're free for the rest of the day
• Regular work on Saturdays and paid public holidays (with time off recovered during the year)
