Logistics Operations Assistant Manager

To assist the Manager in leading, planning, and directing overall warehouse and logistics operations. To ensure all inventory management, material handling, receiving, and shipping activities are executed with maximum efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and full safety compliance. Serves as a key operational leader driving process improvements, cross-departmental coordination, team performance management, and organizational objectives.

Job Responsibilities

1. Oversee daily warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring compliance with SOPs, productivity targets, and efficient workflow management.
2. Lead, coach, and supervise warehouse personnel to achieve departmental KPIs, maintain high performance, and foster a positive work culture.
3. Manage inventory accuracy through stock control, cycle counts, reconciliation, and variance analysis within the ERP system.
4. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse layout, storage utilization, material handling efficiency, and overall logistics performance.
5. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, 5S practices, company policies, and security standards while maintaining a safe working environment.
6. Coordinate closely with Production, Purchasing, Quality, Sales, and external logistics providers to ensure smooth material flow and on-time deliveries.
7. Oversee warehouse equipment maintenance, support logistics service performance, and act on behalf of the Warehouse & Logistics Manager when required.

Requirement & Qualification

• Diploma and above or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse/logistics operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, and ERP/WMS systems.
• Forklift license/certification and knowledge of warehouse safety practices will be an added advantage.
