Logistics Operations Manager

The Opportunity

Good logistics operations depend on organisation, communication and people who can keep things moving when priorities change. Origin Global is looking for a Logistics Operations Manager to take responsibility for the smooth running of day-to-day logistics activity while supporting the team, maintaining service standards and improving operational efficiency.

This is a practical management position with responsibility across planning, coordination, performance and people. It would suit someone who has built solid experience in logistics or operations and is ready to take ownership of a wider range of responsibilities.

The Role

As a Logistics Operations Manager, key responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating day-to-day logistics activities to ensure schedules and operational requirements are met
• Planning workloads, resources and priorities to maintain an efficient operation
• Monitoring logistics performance, service levels and operational issues
• Working with internal teams and external partners to resolve delivery or scheduling challenges
• Supporting the management and performance of the logistics team, including setting expectations and providing feedback
• Reviewing processes and identifying practical opportunities to improve efficiency and service
• Maintaining accurate operational records and ensuring relevant procedures are followed
• Supporting compliance with company, health and safety and operational requirements

What Makes a Strong Logistics Operations Manager?

• At least 3 years’ experience in logistics, transport, distribution, warehousing or a related operational environment
• Previous experience coordinating people, workloads or day-to-day operational activity
• Good understanding of logistics processes, scheduling and resource planning
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• Clear communication skills with the confidence to work across different teams
• Practical approach to resolving operational problems and changing priorities
• Comfortable working with operational systems, records and performance information
• Reliable, professional and willing to take ownership of responsibilities
