Job Summary

Transnet, Inc., an established freight brokerage and logistics provider since 1999, is seeking a motivated Logistics Operations Specialist / Truck Dispatcher to join our growing team.

This position combines freight brokerage operations with asset-based truck dispatching, load planning, and freight rate negotiations. We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced transportation environment and understands the importance of customer service, efficiency, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track freight shipments to ensure timely pickup and delivery.
• Dispatch trucks, coordinate drivers, and manage equipment availability.
• Search DAT and other load boards to identify and book profitable freight.
• Negotiate freight rates and evaluate lane profitability.
• Optimize routes, minimize deadhead miles, and maximize truck utilization.
• Communicate with customers, brokers, carriers, and drivers.
• Verify broker credentials and maintain accurate shipment and dispatch records.
• Troubleshoot scheduling conflicts, delays, and daily transportation challenges.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight brokerage, truck dispatching, or logistics operations preferred.
• Familiarity with DAT, load boards, and transportation management systems.
• Understanding of freight rates, routing, and truckload operations.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and general computer applications.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a remote environment.
