About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistic Operations Specialist to support our warehouse and delivery operations.
This is a great opportunity for candidates looking to build or further develop their career in logistics and supply chain operations. You will gain hands-on experience across distribution centre operations, driver management, and process optimisation in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management & Process Improvement:
- Support DC/DS (Distribution Center / Delivery Station) management by monitoring operational KPIs, identifying inefficiencies, and proposing enhancements to boost warehouse performance and service quality.
Driver Management & Capacity Planning
- Manage and optimise the driver pool, ensuring sufficient capacity to meet daily operational demands
- Recruit, onboard, and train new drivers on systems, SOPs, and operational standards
- Maintain strong engagement with drivers and act as the first point of contact for operational support
Service Quality Monitoring:
- Track essential operational metrics such as inventory turnover, delivery times, and transportation costs. Handle issues like mislabeling, lost or misplaced items, and inventory holding to maintain high service standards.
Cost Control & Workforce Optimization:
- Monitor warehouse operating costs and optimize staffing models based on local conditions to improve cost-efficiency and productivity.
Project Oversight & Facility Management:
- Independently manage logistics modules (e.g., receiving, picking, packing, dispatch, inventory). Lead and implement key projects such as 6S practices and closed-loop management.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Work closely with Transport, Customer Service, and Procurement teams to ensure smooth communication, manage resource flow, and resolve operational challenges efficiently.
Candidate Requirements:
Education & Work Eligibility:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Must have full NZL work rights—citizenship, PR, or valid visa. Open to recent graduates. Background in Supply Chain Management is preferred.
Experience
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, operations, or a related field is preferred
- Open to candidates at early stages of their career, as well as those with relevant hands-on experience
Language Proficiency:
- Strong verbal and written communication in both English and Mandarin.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office and data analysis tools. Able to analyze, visualize, and interpret data. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or equivalent software is preferred.
Work Shifts:
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings and evenings.
