Logistics Senior Supervisor

Job / Role Summary

The Logistics Lead Supervisor supports end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring efficient planning, execution, and control of inbound and outbound shipments. This role ensures compliance with local and international trade regulations while optimizing cost, delivery performance, and inventory flow aligned with manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Logistics Operations Management

• Oversee daily logistics operations (import/export, local deliveries, warehouse coordination)
• Ensure timely movement of materials, components, and finished goods
• Monitor shipment status, resolve delays, and communicate updates to stakeholders
• Coordinate with 3PL providers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers

2. Import / Export & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Philippine customs regulations, PEZA requirements (if applicable), and international trade laws
• Review shipping documents (commercial invoice, packing list, B/L, AWB, permits)
• Manage import/export permits and licenses
• Handle customs clearance issues and audits

3. Cost & Performance Optimization

• Monitor logistics costs (freight, duties, storage, brokerage fees)
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
• Track and report KPIs (on-time delivery, lead time, cost efficiency, service level)

4. Stakeholder Coordination

• Collaborate closely with Procurement, Planning, Production, and Customer Service teams
• Align logistics activities with production schedules and customer requirements
• Liaise with global counterparts for international shipments

5. Team Supervision

• Assist in managing logistics team members or coordinators
• Provide guidance, training, and performance monitoring
• Ensure adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures

6. Systems & Reporting

• Utilize ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) for shipment tracking and inventory movement
• Prepare reports on shipment performance, delays, and cost analysis
• Maintain accurate logistics records and documentation

7. Continuous Improvement

• Lead or support logistics process improvement initiatives
• Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle time
• Participate in audits (ISO, internal, external compliance audits)

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in:

• Logistics / Supply Chain Management
• Industrial Engineering
• Business Administration or related field

Experience

• 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or import/export operations
• At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or lead role
• Experience in manufacturing / semiconductor / electronics environment is highly preferred
• Strong background in international shipping and customs compliance (Philippines)

Skills & Competencies

Knowledge of:

• Import/export regulations (Philippine Customs, PEZA, BOC)
• Incoterms (FOB, CIF, EXW, etc.)
• Freight management (air/sea/land)
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, reporting)
