Logistics Sourcing Coordinator

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Sourcing Coordinator to join our team. This position will support transportation sourcing, vendor outreach, rate requests, and project planning across multiple modes of transportation, including truck, rail, and ocean.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, sourcing, freight brokerage, or a related field and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with sourcing transportation solutions for truck, rail, ocean, and other transportation projects.
• Research and compare carriers, vendors, and transportation options to identify competitive and cost-effective solutions.
• Request, collect, and compare rates from carriers and vendors.
• Support vendor sourcing and relationship development.
• Assist with identifying new transportation partners and service providers.
• Build rate comparisons, sourcing summaries, and basic cost models using Excel.
• Assist with preparing transportation quotes and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate vendor, carrier, and rate information.
• Communicate with vendors regarding rates, availability, capabilities, and service requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams including Sales, Finance, and Project Management.
• Assist with transportation project planning and sourcing requirements.
• Support additional sourcing and logistics projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, sourcing, freight brokerage, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working with numbers, transportation rates, and cost comparisons.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with carriers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong research, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as the role develops.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience sourcing carriers, transportation vendors, or logistics services.
• Experience requesting and comparing freight rates.
• Exposure to truckload, LTL, rail, ocean, or intermodal transportation.
• Experience within a 3PL, freight brokerage, transportation, or supply chain environment.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and basic data analysis.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.23 per hour
