Responsibilities

• Oversee warehouse distribution activities, including stocking, materials handling, and inventory control to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Coordinate transportation planning and freight management using transportation management systems (TMS) to optimize delivery schedules and reduce transit times.
• Manage procurement processes, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating pricing, and maintaining vendor relationships to secure the best terms and ensure supply continuity.
• Utilize data analysis skills with tools like SQL, Excel data analysis, and Tableau to monitor supply chain metrics, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
• Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain disruptions or inefficiencies to develop effective corrective actions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production planning, customer service, and warehouse operations teams to align logistics activities with business goals.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards for import/export activities.

Skills

• Strong experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems (IMS), ERP platforms such as AS400 or similar systems.
• Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and visualization using Excel spreadsheets, SQL queries, Tableau dashboards, and other analytics tools.
• Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), freight forwarding (including NVOCC), shipping & receiving procedures, and international trade regulations.
• Skilled in negotiation tactics for vendor management, procurement sourcing, and category management to maximize value.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations including manual handling, stocking procedures, forklift operation certification preferred.
• Expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma to streamline logistics workflows.
• Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration and customer service within supply chain environments.
