Logistics Specialist

Position Role and Responsibilities:

• Communicates with shipping floor on any updates to schedule
• Processes orders according to customer guidelines
• Coordinates shipping schedules to meet department and customer requirements.
• Continuous, daily communication with carriers regarding pickups
• Collects daily and weekly customer data
• Assists customer service department
• Maintains worked hours for shipping personnel and provides communication to department leaders
• Performs other related duties as required.

Essential Functions:

• Must be able to multi-task in an organized fashion.
• Must be able to work in fast paced environment.
• Must be able to communicate with others in a professional manner.
• Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Attention to detail required.
• General filing required.
• Must be able to operate a 10-key calculator.
• Must be able to compose letters.

Required Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• SAP experience is a strongly desired
• Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Prior experience in a shipping or logistics support position
• Requires interpersonal skills, effective oral and written communication skills, and computer literacy.

Safety Hazards:

• Wear all PPE as required on the plant floor.
• Minimal hazards. General office working conditions.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
