Logistics Supervisor

Based in Whanganui, the Logistics Supervisor leads the day-to-day coordination of Wight Aluminium’s logistics operations. The position oversees logistics for both our main commercial factory in Whanganui and our second factory in Hamilton, and involves coordination of factory-to-site deliveries across the country, managing drivers, coordinating fleet administration, supporting import and customs coordination, and maintaining accurate inventory and logistics information.

We’re looking for someone who sees logistics as more than moving materials from one place to another. You’ll bring practical systems thinking and a continuous-improvement mindset—building clearer processes, better visibility and more efficient ways of working to meet our continually evolving business needs. You'll be comfortable working with digital tools and systems, and committed to accuracy in process execution and documentation.

You'll be comfortable liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders - project managers, site managers, production teams, external freight providers and drivers. You'll have the temperament to manage a bit of pressure, and work through challenges and constraints with a solutions mindset.

We welcome interest from applicants with a broad logistics background, with exposure and/or experience in end to end import logistics, landed cost considerations, road and rail distribution options, handling and/or inventory holding.
