What they need

Tranzito is a mobility operator specializing in micromobility, curbside management, and multimodal infrastructure for cities. We work with government agencies to manage transportation programs and deploy infrastructure that improves the public realm.

Tranzito is currently supporting large-scale infrastructure deployment programs throughout the Los Angeles region and maintains a warehouse operation responsible for receiving, inventory control, equipment preparation, and distribution of materials used across our projects.

We are seeking a hands-on Logistics Technician to support warehouse operations, inventory management, equipment provisioning, and deployment preparation. This role will be responsible for the physical receipt, organization, tracking, preparation, and issuance of equipment and materials supporting construction, installation, maintenance, and other field activities.

The Logistics Technician will work closely with the Data & Logistics Manager to ensure physical inventory remains organized and accurately reflected in our asset management systems and that equipment is properly prepared and staged for deployment.

This is a full-time, on-site role intended for someone who is highly organized, comfortable working with technology, and able to perform both physical warehouse activities and detailed inventory and equipment-tracking work.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Inventory Operations

  • Receive incoming equipment and materials and verify deliveries against purchase orders, packing lists, and expected quantities.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for damage, shortages, incorrect materials, or other discrepancies.
  • Label, organize, store, and maintain equipment in designated warehouse locations.
  • Perform physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory quantities, serial numbers, asset locations, and inventory status information.
  • Record receipts, inventory movements, transfers, issuances, returns, and other transactions in Sitetracker or applicable inventory systems.
  • Pick, stage, and issue equipment and materials for construction, installation, maintenance, and other field activities.
  • Support established inventory-control practices including stock rotation, designated storage locations, and material-handling procedures.
  • Identify inventory discrepancies, damaged equipment, missing components, and other exceptions and escalate them for resolution.

Equipment Provisioning & Deployment Preparation

  • Provision equipment using established procedures, checklists, and standard operating procedures.
  • Assemble and prepare standard equipment kits for upcoming deployments.
  • Apply approved firmware, software settings, or standard device configurations as required.
  • Perform basic bench testing and functional checks to confirm equipment is ready for deployment.
  • Verify that required equipment, components, accessories, labels, and documentation are included prior to release.
  • Stage equipment and materials for delivery to contractors, technicians, or project sites.
  • Document provisioning, testing, and equipment status in the appropriate tracking systems.
  • Identify failed equipment, abnormal conditions, or non-standard technical issues and escalate them to the appropriate technical resource.

Material Handling & Warehouse Support

  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Load and unload deliveries, equipment, and materials.
  • Move, organize, and stage materials throughout the warehouse as required.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and clearly identified warehouse storage and staging areas.
  • Prepare, package, label, and secure equipment and materials for outbound delivery or contractor pickup.
  • Process returned, damaged, failed, surplus, or unused equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • Support warehouse audits, inventory reviews, and other operational initiatives.

Operational Coordination

  • Coordinate with Logistics, Construction, Technical, and Project teams to understand upcoming equipment requirements and deployment priorities.
  • Support preparation of materials based on deployment schedules and field requirements.
  • Communicate inventory shortages, discrepancies, equipment issues, or other conditions that may affect upcoming work.
  • Follow established procedures for equipment receiving, storage, provisioning, issuance, and return.
  • Recommend practical improvements to warehouse organization, inventory controls, staging, and repeatable provisioning processes.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, inventory control, equipment deployment, technical operations, or a related hands-on role.
  • Current forklift certification and demonstrated ability to safely operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment.
  • Experience receiving, organizing, picking, staging, and issuing equipment or materials.
  • Comfortable performing both physical warehouse work and computer-based inventory transactions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately manage quantities, serial numbers, asset records, and inventory locations.
  • Ability to follow written procedures, checklists, technical instructions, and established workflows.
  • Basic technical aptitude and comfort working with electronic equipment, computers, networking hardware, or similar devices.
  • Experience using inventory, warehouse management, asset management, ERP, CRM, or comparable business systems.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, stage, and organize equipment and materials associated with warehouse operations.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to independently complete assigned work.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional site visits

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting technology deployments, telecommunications, transportation infrastructure, construction, utilities, or other field-based operations.
  • Experience with serialized asset tracking or inventory lifecycle management.
  • Experience provisioning, configuring, testing, or preparing electronic equipment for field deployment.
  • Experience with Sitetracker, Salesforce, or similar enterprise systems.
  • Familiarity with basic troubleshooting of electronic or network-connected equipment.
  • Experience working in a warehouse supporting construction or infrastructure deployment programs.
