Long-term Care Pharmacy Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care within an independent pharmacy setting. You will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards while delivering outstanding service to patients and healthcare professionals.

Duties

• Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications.
• Provide excellent patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications and therapies. (#1 priority!!)
• Maintain accurate records of medication orders and ensure proper labeling of all pharmaceutical products.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary information related to patient care and medication management.
• Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with colleagues and support patient care initiatives.
• Participate in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.
• Support acute care and critical care pharmacy services by ensuring timely medication delivery for patients in need.

Experience

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and pharmacy operations is essential.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care are necessary for success in this role.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
