Engineering, AI & Airline Commercial Technology

Barcelona (hybrid), or elsewhere in Europe depending on role|Airline technology

This isn't an open vacancy. It's a way to get on our radar before roles are advertised. We're growing our engineering, AI, data, product and commercial teams, and when a role fits your background, we'll contact you.

What Longtail does

Airlines adjust prices and availability across thousands of routes every day, often with tools built for a slower market. Longtail builds a decision-streaming platform that brings together live data, proprietary optimisation algorithms and AI. Airlines use it to make those commercial decisions in real time and act on them automatically.

Why join us

• Hard, consequential problems: real-time decisioning at scale, where speed, accuracy and revenue all matter.
• Real ownership: you'll help shape the architecture, product and ways of working as we grow.
• Airline experience is a bonus, not a requirement for many roles. Strong engineers and AI specialists from other industries thrive here.
• Flexible location: hybrid in Barcelona, with options elsewhere in Europe for some roles. Visa sponsorship and relocation support available for selected roles.

Who we'd like to hear from

Engineering, AI & Data, Product Management

This covers backend, full-stack and platform engineers, technical PM, staff and principal engineers and other technical leaders, applied AI, LLM and agent engineers, ML platform and MLOps engineers, data engineers, scientists and analysts, and cloud, distributed-systems and DevOps specialists.

You built complex SaaS platforms, real-time or streaming systems, production AI or ML, or large-scale data platforms.

Airline Pricing, Revenue Management & Product

This covers RM and pricing specialists, product managers and product ops, pricing operations and commercial analysts, solutions architects, and technical programme and delivery managers.

You know forecasting, demand steering and price elasticity, fare structures, distribution and retailing (ATPCO, GDS, PSS, NDC), or optimisation and decision-support systems.

Customer & Commercial

This covers customer success and technical account managers, solutions consultants and pre-sales, and partnerships and go-to-market roles.

You sold or implemented complex B2B technology, ideally for airlines or in travel.

You might come from an airline, a travel-tech company, a pricing or RM vendor, a distribution provider, a SaaS scale-up or an AI-native company. How you solve problems matters more to us than your job title.

How it works

1. Share your CV or LinkedIn profile. In a few lines, tell us which area interests you, where you're based and roughly when you might be open to a move.
2. We review profiles as roles open up. There are no interviews or individual feedback at this stage.
3. When a role matches your experience, we'll contact you directly, often before it's advertised.

We keep your details in our talent community for 12months. You can ask us to update or remove them at any time.
