Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences, fostering a trusting relationship.
• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including hygiene, grooming, and other daily living activities.
• Provide transportation support to help clients attend appointments, activities, or errands safely and comfortably.
• Support patient transfer methods using appropriate techniques to ensure safety during movement or repositioning.
• Respond promptly to client needs, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
• Administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary, following established safety protocols.
• Support clients in engaging with community activities and maintaining their independence.
• Document care activities accurately and communicate any concerns or changes in client condition to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
• Ability to assist with personal care tasks while maintaining dignity and respect for the individual.
• Knowledge of patient transfer methods and proper lifting techniques for safety.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified.
• Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support individuals in achieving their personal goals.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
