Loom Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Mechanic to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment and machinery - primarily textile looms - to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Your expertise in mechanical systems, electrical diagnostics, hydraulics, PLCs, pneumatics, and welding will be essential in supporting our production processes. Duties

• Performs routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment using precision measuring instruments and schematics.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, primarily industrial looms machines - utilizing electrical blueprint reading and engineering troubleshooting techniques.
• Conducts equipment diagnostics with tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and low voltage testers to identify faults accurately.
• Reads electrical systems schematics and performs electrical maintenance tasks involving high voltage and low voltage systems.
• Assists with welding (welding standards), equipment repair, and the installation of new machinery following safety protocols.
• Times gears, installs belts, and sets machinery timing.
• Supports industrial maintenance projects by analyzing system performance data and recommending improvements for increased efficiency.
• Provides excellent customer service by collaborating with production teams to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or in a similar manufacturing facility role with strong mechanical knowledge. Experience working on industrial looms a plus.
• Hands-on experience with industrial electrician tasks, electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems, and reading schematics.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and high voltage electrical systems.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic and timing tools.
• Experience with welding (welding standards), electrical blueprint reading, engineering troubleshooting, and equipment repair.
• Strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills in English; ability to read schematics and technical manuals in English fluently.
• Prior experience working in manufacturing environments or military settings is advantageous. Experience working on industrial looms a plus.
