Lorry Driver/ Storkeeper

About the role

Len Min Steel Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled and reliable Lorry Driver/Storkeeper to join our dynamic team at our Elmina, Selangor facility. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our warehousing, storage and distribution operations. You will be responsible for both driving duties and warehouse management, ensuring that our products are safely transported and efficiently stored. This role is integral to maintaining the smooth flow of operations across our supply chain and directly impacts our customers' satisfaction and our company's reputation for reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain lorries to transport steel products and materials to designated destinations safely and on time
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the lorry is in good working condition
• Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel consumption, mileage and any incidents or damages
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are properly secured and handled according to safety standards
• Manage warehouse inventory, including receiving, storing and organising steel products and materials
• Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records
• Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organised and safe, adhering to all health and safety regulations
• Prepare and process documentation related to shipments, receipts and storage
• Follow all traffic regulations and company safety policies whilst operating vehicles
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors and customers regarding deliveries and inventory status

What we're looking for

• Valid driving licence (Class 2 or equivalent) with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as a lorry driver or in a similar transport role
• Demonstrated experience in warehouse management, stock control or storekeeping
• Strong knowledge of vehicle safety and maintenance procedures
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks regularly
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to health and safety standards and best practices
• Flexibility to adapt to varying work schedules and seasonal demands
