We’re continuing to grow and are looking for an experienced Night Shift Low Loader / Float Driver to join our team.

This is a permanent night shift position, ideal for an experienced heavy vehicle driver who enjoys working nights, prefers mainly local work and takes pride in looking after their equipment.

A NEW TRUCK IS ON THE WAY!

As part of our ongoing investment in our fleet, BCM has ordered a brand-new Kenworth K220 prime mover, with delivery expected in September 2026.

The new K220 will replace our current prime mover and will be paired with our Drake Quad Axle Float, giving the successful applicant the opportunity to operate some of the best equipment in the industry.

About the Role

Working as part of our experienced operations team, you’ll be responsible for safely transporting our fleet of modern road profilers and associated heavy equipment between job sites throughout Greater Brisbane and Southeast Queensland.

Your role will be critical in keeping our night-time operations running smoothly and ensuring our crews have the equipment they need, where they need it, when they need it.

The position is mainly local work, with the truck based at our Clontarf depot, north of Brisbane, and you’ll return to the depot at the completion of each shift.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, professional and safety-focused, with experience in heavy vehicle transport.

To be successful, you will require:

• Minimum current HC Driver’s Licence and a good driving record
• Construction Industry White Card
• A strong commitment to workplace and road safety
• A positive and professional attitude
• Ability to comply with fatigue management requirements, road rules and regulations
• A reasonable knowledge of the Greater Brisbane metropolitan road network
• Ability to work permanent night shifts

Preferred Experience

Ideally, you will have experience in:

• Transporting heavy equipment using quad axle floats
• Loading and unloading heavy machinery
• Conducting thorough pre-start truck inspections
• Completing transport and associated paperwork
• Working independently while maintaining excellent communication with the BCM team

Experience with road profiling equipment or similar heavy machinery transport will be highly regarded.
