Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Low Voltage Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for low voltage electrical systems on a variety of construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure project budgets are realistic and competitive while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings, electrical schematics, and technical specifications to develop precise estimates for low voltage systems including surveillance, access control, fiber optics, and voice/data cabling.
• Analyze material costs, labor requirements, equipment needs, and subcontractor quotes to create comprehensive project budgets.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and vendors through effective negotiation to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
• Review construction documents thoroughly to identify potential risks or discrepancies that could impact project costs or timelines.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, revisions, and supporting documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical estimating within the construction industry, particularly with low voltage systems such as surveillance, access control, AV, or data cabling.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting construction drawings, electrical blueprints, and schematics with precision.
• Excellent negotiation skills to work effectively with vendors, subcontractors, and clients on pricing and contracts.
• Solid understanding of construction management principles including cost control, material estimation, and project budgeting.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members while managing multiple projects efficiently.

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
