JOB TITLE: Low Voltage / Network Cabling Technician - Commercial Bank Infrastructure - $275/Night + Growth

COMPANY / LOCATION: The Handy Staff LLC - Hiring in Central PA, Western PA, and Ohio

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Handy Staff LLC is building a dedicated regional low-voltage crew for ongoing commercial bank infrastructure projects.

This is steady Monday through Thursday overnight work. This is not a one-day gig.

We are hiring hands-on low-voltage technicians and lead technicians for immediate and long-term project work inside active commercial bank environments.

SCHEDULE AND PAY:

Shift: Monday through Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM

Starting Pay: $280 per night

Growth: Higher nightly rates are available for dependable technicians who show strong skill, clean work, leadership ability, and consistency.

Lead Roles: Technicians who can run a small crew, read site plans, manage documentation, and complete clean closeout photos can move up quickly.

Responsibilities:

  • Install wall-mounted network cabinets, backboards, and patch panel enclosures
  • Run, reroute, dress, and secure CAT5e/CAT6 cabling
  • Punch down cables on patch panels
  • Install J-hooks, cable supports, Velcro management, and mounting hardware
  • Label, tone, test, and document cable runs
  • Support rack cleanup, infrastructure upgrades, and network cutovers
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Complete required project photos and closeout documentation
  • Work in small crews of 3 to 5 people

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Experience using a punch-down tool
  • Experience with CAT5e/CAT6 cabling
  • Ability to use drills, levels, measuring tools, and hand tools
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work Monday through Thursday overnight shifts consistently
  • Professional appearance and clear communication
  • Ability to follow direction and work as part of a crew
  • Ability to pass required onboarding, identification, background, and site-access requirements for commercial bank environments

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Patch panel installation
  • Network cabinet installation
  • Structured cabling
  • Cable testing and toning
  • Professional labeling
  • Security camera, access control, or IT infrastructure experience
  • Construction, carpentry, electrical, or commercial maintenance experience
  • Lead experience running a 2 to 4 person crew
  • Own tools such as punch-down tool, drill, cable tester, toner, label maker, tape measure, level, and headlamp

IMPORTANT:

This is hands-on field work. This is not a supervisor-only position.

You will be mounting hardware, pulling cable, carrying tools, cleaning up, and working with your crew.

If you are not willing to install, this is not the right role.

WHY WORK WITH US:

  • Steady project pipeline
  • Monday through Thursday overnight work
  • Fast pay cycles
  • Room to move up quickly
