Duties

• Assist with the installation and termination of low-voltage cabling including Cat5, Cat6, fiber optic systems, and structured wiring for telecommunications systems.
• Support the setup and testing of network equipment.
• Help troubleshoot equipment issues using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters, multimeters, and specialized telecommunications testing equipment.
• Participate in field service activities including site surveys, schematic interpretation, and system testing to verify proper operation.
• Maintain detailed documentation of installations, repairs, schematics, and test results for customer records.
• Support team members in equipment repair tasks and perform routine inspections using hand tools and power tools to uphold safety standards.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of computer networking concepts such as Ethernet, LAN (Local Area Network), and structured cabling installation.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and telecommunication testing equipment effectively.
• Knowledge of low-voltage electrical wiring practices for telecommunications and data cabling projects.
• Strong customer service skills with a proactive attitude towards assisting clients and resolving technical issues efficiently.
• Physical ability to work on ladders or in confined spaces; comfortable standing or walking for extended periods during site visits.
• Prior experience or certifications in telecommunications or electrical systems are advantageous but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates eager to grow their technical expertise.

Pay: $25.93 - $31.22 per hour

Expected hours: 38.0 – 50.0 per week
