Low Voltage Technician

Our rapidly growing security system company is currently seeking an ambitious, energetic, polite, careful, and thorough security installation technician in this area. We are looking for candidates who will start as contractors, but who might be interested in full time employment as the work load increases.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience with commercial installations of alarm systems, security cameras, access control and networking. We want to differentiate ourselves on quality and delighting our customers, and our technicians have a critical role in achieving that goal. Of course our company is A+ rated by the Better Business Bureau and a member of the Electronic Security Association. Responsibilities and Duties

The ideal candidate would possess the following experience and skills:

• Experience installing, programming and trouble-shooting all major security systems

• Have a standard set of low voltage installation tools

• Skilled at fishing wires in residential and commercial installations

• Ability to install video surveillance systems

• Computer networking and DVR programming

• Mega-pixel IP cameras, and home automation experience

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate would also have the following traits:

• Pass a driving record and criminal background check

• Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle

• Desire to learn and expand skill set and product knowledge.

• Flexible working hours are a plus

• Ability to stay overnight on out of town installs at Shield expense 5 or 6 times a year

Responsibilities and Duties

There are two different skill sets with varying starting salaries. The candidate that can install video surveillance, access control and alarm systems by themselves will be toward the top end of the pay scale, while the candidate that has experience working as part of a team performing those activities, is valued as well.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
