Low Voltage Technician

• Inventure IT is looking for an experienced Low Voltage Technician to join our Savannah team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our clients, maintaining their sites and systems, and installing new systems utilizing the latest technology.

Responsibilities:

• Provide timely technical support to clients via phone, email, ticket system, or in-person, addressing a wide range of issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system-related problems.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their technical needs and provide effective solutions.
• Maintain and monitor client systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Perform system upgrades, installations, and configurations as needed.
• Assist with the administration, management, design, installation, and service of camera and access control systems, including Avigilon, Openpath, Lorex, and Dahua
• Utilize strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and implement solutions.
• Travel on-site to customer locations to provide in person support in the local area.
• Occasional travel to job sites in other cities to perform or manage installation and service.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; some college education preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the low voltage industry.
• Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, access control hardware/software, and video management hardware/software.
• Background in structured cabling, head-end buildouts, basic circuitry knowledge, and physical networking.
• Ability to configure, install, and troubleshoot layer 1-3 network devices
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A customer-focused attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
• Experience with hand and power tools
• Experience operating a lift
• Common industry site safety protocols
• Ability to interpret and understand device instructions, project plans, architectural drawings, as-builds
