Low Voltage Technician

Position Summary

Reddy Electric Co. is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems in commercial and industrial environments. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, takes pride in quality work, and works well independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling and systems.
• Install and service security cameras, access control systems, and other low-voltage equipment.
• Run, route, and organize cables through walls, ceilings, conduit, and other pathways.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation plans.
• Identify and resolve wiring and system issues to ensure proper operation.
• Follow project specifications, safety procedures, and applicable electrical codes.
• Maintain an organized work area and properly care for tools and equipment.
• Coordinate with team members, supervisors, and other trades to complete projects efficiently.

Qualifications

• Previous low-voltage installation or technician experience preferred.
• Familiarity with security cameras, access control, or similar systems is a plus.
• Ability to terminate Cat 6 cable and/or fiber optics.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow technical instructions.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively on a team.
• Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and quality workmanship.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
