Low Voltage Technician

Overview
We are seeking moderately skilled Low Voltage Technicians to join our dynamic team. This is an IBEW electrical union position with fantastic benefits. The ideal candidate will have some experience in cable pulling, rack buildouts, cat 6/fiber optics cabling/terminating, badge access controls, and video surveillance at the new Microsoft facility in Mount Pleasant, WI. This role requires some understanding of telecommunication systems and the ability to work effectively in the field.

Responsibilities

• Perform network installation for various telecommunication projects.
• Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to install and maintain cabling systems.
• Able to pull and terminate various different cables.
• Compliant with OSHA safety standards and protocols.
• Be able to work with a positive and friendly attitude towards other team members.

Skills

• Having some experience with fiber splicing techniques is helpful.
• Experience in telecommunications, including low voltage systems and cabling practices.
• Moderate mechanical knowledge with the ability to use an Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer (OTDR).
• Previous experience is a MUST.
• Strong communication skills to interact respectively with clients and team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $50.00 per hour
