Lowbed Trailer Driver

Job Summary

The Low Bed Trailer Driver is responsible for safely operating a tractor head with a low bed trailer to transport heavy construction equipment, such as excavators, motor graders, vibratory rollers, and bulldozers, to and from designated highway construction project sites. The role ensures safe loading, securing, hauling, and unloading of equipment while complying with road regulations, project schedules, and transportation safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor head and low bed trailer to transport heavy equipment to designated project locations.
• Coordinate with equipment operators and site personnel to ensure proper loading and unloading procedures.
• Inspect the trailer, tractor head, tires, brakes, lights, hydraulic systems, ramps, and coupling connections before and after each trip.
• Ensure heavy equipment is properly positioned, balanced, and secured using appropriate chains, binders, and tie-down equipment.
• Verify load dimensions and weight, and comply with applicable load limits, route restrictions, and permit requirements.
• Follow designated routes and observe traffic regulations, speed limits, and defensive driving practices.
• Check road conditions, overhead clearances, bridge restrictions, and turning areas before transporting oversized or heavy equipment.
• Conduct safety checks to ensure the trailer and transported equipment remain secure throughout the journey.
• Coordinate with site supervisors regarding equipment delivery schedules, loading areas, and unloading locations.
• Immediately report vehicle defects, equipment movement, damaged securing devices, accidents, and other safety concerns.
• Maintain trip records, delivery documents, inspection checklists, and other required transportation records.
• Keep the tractor head and trailer clean and in good operating condition.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Pay: Php41,000.00 - Php43,000.00 per month
