LP Installer & Service Technician

About the Role

The LP Installer & Service Technician plays a hands-on role at Tasha Fuels & Propane, delivering, setting, and installing propane tanks and gas distribution systems across Cape Cod. This position keeps our customers safely supplied and running, from new tank sets to routine maintenance and emergency repairs on residential and commercial propane equipment.

This is a field-based, safety-critical role that directly impacts customer comfort, system reliability, and our reputation in the community. The right candidate is skilled, dependable, and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver, set, and hook up propane tanks, regulators, and gas piping systems according to safety codes
• Conduct pressure and leak tests, purge new tanks and cylinders, and verify proper appliance operation
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs on customer LP systems
• Follow strict company and industry safety protocols when handling hazardous materials and operating heavy equipment
• Provide professional communication and basic operational instructions to customers regarding their propane systems

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid LP Installer License or state-specific gas-fitter certification
• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in LP installation or service technician work
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting heavy objects, bending, and working outdoors in varying weather
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Schedule and Work Environment

• Full-time, field-based position
• Generally Monday through Friday with a shared on-call rotation and overtime opportunities
• On-the-road field work involving exposure to outdoor elements and potentially hazardous materials requiring personal protective equipment (PPE)
