Turner Counseling is hiring an independently licensed therapist to join our outpatient practice in Fayetteville.

The role is focused primarily on psychotherapy with adults and couples. Clinicians typically average about 25 client sessions per week, with normal variation based on cancellations, scheduling, and caseload needs.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable practicing with a high degree of independence, takes clinical quality seriously, communicates reliably, and is willing to continue developing their skills when a client population or treatment need calls for additional training.

What You Can Expect

• $70,000 annual salary

• 90-day caseload development period

The workweek includes time for documentation, care coordination, consultation, and other responsibilities related to providing outpatient care. Weekly session numbers are expected to fluctuate rather than remain identical from week to week.

Clinical Expectations

This position requires an active Arkansas LPC or LCSW license that permits independent practice and insurance credentialing.

Applicants should also be able to:

• Provide outpatient psychotherapy with appropriate independence
• Work effectively with adult clients
• Provide or develop competence in couples therapy
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation
• Exercise sound ethical and professional judgment
• Seek consultation when clinically appropriate
• Pursue additional education or training when needed to serve clients competently

This role is not available to associate or provisional licensees, including LACs.

Working at Turner Counseling

Turner Counseling is a small outpatient practice that values good clinical work, professional autonomy, clear expectations, and dependable communication.

We want clinicians to have room to practice independently without being left to manage every part of running a practice themselves. Scheduling communication, billing issues, marketing, and practice outreach are handled at the practice level so clinicians can spend more of their attention on client care.

A Note From the Owner

I started Turner Counseling because I wanted to build the kind of workplace I would have wanted to work in myself. Where possible, I have tried to structure the practice in ways that make clinicians’ jobs easier and allow them to focus more of their time and energy on clinical work.

Part of my job is to remove unnecessary friction. Our office manager handles scheduling communication with clients. I work with the office manager to address billing issues, and Turner Counseling handles the marketing and outreach needed to maintain and grow the practice.
