Job Overview

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) working the overnight shift from 7pm to 7am. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care by performing physical examinations, vital sign assessments, and patient evaluations with precision and empathy.
• Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and treatments such as tube feedings and catheter care in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols.
• Monitor patients’ conditions closely, including managing acute pain, respiratory status (ventilators), and infectious disease precautions.
• Document all patient interactions accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
• Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection, processing, and basic medical imaging procedures when necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and providing education tailored to patients’ needs—especially in geriatrics, dementia care, memory care, or hospice settings.
• Respond promptly to urgent situations including airway management, emergency room protocols, or trauma responses within Level I or Level II trauma center standards.

Skills

• Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring specialized memory or Alzheimer's care.
• Strong proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with ICD-9/10 coding for accurate documentation.
• Critical care experience in settings like ICU, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine; including acute care environments such as medical-surgical units or skilled nursing facilities.
• Knowledge of advanced nursing procedures including IV insertion/infusion, venipuncture, sterile processing, and catheterization techniques.
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments utilizing physiology knowledge and clinical judgment; adept at triage and urgent care protocols.
• Excellent communication skills for caregiver interaction and client education; capable of working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR, first aid; additional certifications like ACLS or PALS are a plus for advanced roles.

Pay: $28.50 - $32.00 per hour
