LPN Charge Nurse

*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Charge Nurse will play a pivotal role in overseeing nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. This position requires strong leadership abilities, clinical expertise, and a commitment to fostering a supportive environment for both patients and staff. *Responsibilities* - Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff to ensure efficient patient care delivery. - Conduct assessments of patients' health status, including vital signs monitoring and triage. - Administer medications and perform procedures such as IV insertion and suturing as needed. - Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health management. - Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a teaching hospital setting to enhance patient outcomes. - Manage emergency situations effectively, utilizing skills in emergency medicine and behavioral health when necessary. - Assist with toddler care when applicable, ensuring age-appropriate interventions are implemented. - Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and outcomes. *Qualifications* - Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing is required. - Previous experience in a charge nurse or leadership role is preferred. - Strong clinical skills including proficiency in IV insertion, suture techniques, vital signs assessment, and triage protocols. - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to teach patients and families effectively. - Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as needed. - Experience in emergency medicine or behavioral health is a plus. - A passion for providing compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.
