LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

Southeast Cardiology Clinic is seeking an experienced and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our clinical team. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with our physicians and advanced practice providers in a busy, office-based cardiology practice.

We are looking for an LPN who is organized, professional, compassionate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and communication skills and enjoy being an integral part of a provider's care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Work directly with physicians and advanced practice providers in the care and management of cardiology patients
• Prepare patients for office visits
• Assist providers with patient visits and clinical workflow
• Review and communicate provider instructions, test results, and follow-up recommendations
• Coordinate follow-up care, testing, procedures, and referrals as directed by the provider
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, pharmacies, hospitals, and other healthcare professionals
• Assist with other clinical responsibilities necessary to maintain an efficient and patient-focused office

Qualifications

• Current Alabama LPN license in good standing
• Previous experience in a physician office or outpatient clinical setting preferred
• Cardiology experience is a plus but not required
• Current BLS certification preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and managing telephone-based patient communication
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a busy clinical environment
• Professional, dependable, and committed to excellent patient care
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff
