LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

We are looking for a reliable LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) for a fast paced Cardiology office setting. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse or doctor. LPN professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be flexible in their day to day responsibilities as well as grow and expand their knowledge base.

Responsibilities

• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
• Obtain EKG
• Start IVs, administer injections, infusions, capillary punctures
• Evaluate post operative incisions, clean and dress
• Adequately obtain patient's medical complaints and convey to physician in order to manage patient's condition in office setting
• Answer/return patient calls
• Obtain prior authorizations for medications and complete appeal letters
• Document patient interactions in EMR
• Assist physician during in office procedures

Skills

• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
• Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology
• Good knowledge of EMR and data entry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and able to handle stress
