Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients across various settings, including long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and acute care units.
• Conduct patient assessments by monitoring vital signs, performing physical examinations, and evaluating patient needs.
• Administer medications and injections accurately following established protocols, medication management.
• Document patient information thoroughly using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with complex conditions like dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or infectious diseases.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards while maintaining patient confidentiality and safety.

Experience

• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with current state licensure.
• Prior experience working in medical-surgical units, long-term care facilities, hospitals, or emergency rooms is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia provides valuable insight into specialized patient needs.
• Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), medication administration protocols, and basic life support (BLS) certification is desirable.
