About Us
Spenceton Educational Evaluation Services PLLC is a Houston-based special education evaluation firm partnering with public school districts across the Houston area to deliver reliable, professional, student-focused evaluations. We're expanding our subcontractor team ahead of an August 2026 district contract start.
Position Summary
We're seeking a licensed School Psychologist for a full school-year placement, dedicated to conducting psychoeducational evaluations for students in partnership with Houston ISD. This is a committed, full-time contract role for the 2026–2027 school year — not additional or part-time caseload. Candidates must not currently hold or intend to hold a contract with another school district, as this placement requires exclusivity with the partner district for the full term.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations as part of Full Individual Evaluations (FIEs), in accordance with IDEA and Texas Education Agency guidelines
- Administer, score, and interpret cognitive, achievement, and behavioral/social-emotional assessments
- Write clear, timely, and legally compliant evaluation reports using district-provided templates (Frontline portal)
- Determine eligibility for special education services under applicable disability categories
- Participate in ARD/IEP meetings as needed to present findings and eligibility recommendations
- Maintain compliance with district and TEA requirements, including background check/fingerprinting through IdentoGO
Qualifications
- Valid Texas School Psychologist (LSSP) license
- Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations in a public school setting
- Strong report-writing and time-management skills
- Reliable transportation for travel between campuses
- Ability to pass required background check/fingerprinting
Compensation & Terms
- Must be licensed in Texas, must live in Houston
- Full school-year commitment (August 2026 – May/June 2027); schedule set by district evaluation calendar
- Candidate must not hold a concurrent contract with another school district
- Opportunity for ongoing work as Spenceton's district contracts expand
To Apply: Submit your resume and license information through Indeed. Qualified candidates will be contacted to discuss caseload and start dates.
