About Shuler Autohaus

Shuler Autohaus is a third-generation, family-owned automotive repair shop specializing in Mercedes-Benz and BMW service. We're looking for someone who wants to build a real career in automotive repair and grow with a shop that invests in its people.

Position Summary

We're looking for a Lube Service Technician to join our team. This role is a great entry point into automotive repair for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude, solid work ethic, and genuine interest in the trade. No formal automotive training or certification is required — what matters most is that you know your way around tools, work carefully, and show up ready to learn. Training will be provided, and there's opportunity to grow your skills over time. That said, this is not a role with an expectation of advancing to a top-level diagnostic technician — if you're good at this work and enjoy it, there's no requirement or pressure to move beyond it. It's a solid, sustainable position on its own.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engine oil and filter changes
  • Perform transmission fluid changes/services
  • Replace brake pads
  • Perform minor repair work and general vehicle maintenance
  • Inspect vehicles for additional maintenance or repair needs and report findings
  • Keep an organized, safe, and clean work area
  • Properly use and care for shop tools and equipment
  • Follow proper procedures for fluid disposal and shop safety standards
  • Communicate effectively with technicians and service writers about job status

Requirements

  • Comfortable and confident using hand tools and shop equipment
  • No formal automotive training required — willingness to learn is essential
  • Must supply own basic hand tools
  • Reliable transportation and regular, dependable attendance
  • Ability to work a four-day, 10-hour schedule, Monday–Thursday (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)

What We Offer

  • Hands-on training and mentorship from experienced technicians
  • Opportunity to expand your skills at your own pace, with no pressure to become a top-level diagnostic technician
  • Four-day work week (Monday–Thursday)
  • A family-owned shop environment with long-tenured staff

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Application Question(s):

  • Do you have reliable transportation?
  • Can you provide a Motor Vehicle Report with a good driving record upon request?

Work Location: In person
