Lunch Cook/Baker

We are seeking an individual to join our team that enjoys cooking. As a Lunch cook you will prepare, serve homemade lunch for staff and customers. We are looking for someone comfortable with cooking from scratch and planning meals based on produce that is in season. This position requires strong math skills, excellent time management and a passion for the culinary arts.

Responsibilities:

• Help plan meals.
• Prepare meals via measuring, mixing, stove top operation, ovens, and more.
• Follow recipes to ensure consistent meals for our customers.
• Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage and disposal of food
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area, including washing dishes and santitizing surfaces.
• Assist with cashiering as needed. Handling cash/credit transactions accurately and efficiently using a cash register.

Qualifications:- Previous experience in a bakery or food service environment is preferred but not required- Strong math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating quantities- Knowledge of culinary techniques and baking principles is a plus- Ability to handle food safely and follow health and safety regulations- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment- Effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members- Basic retail math skills for cash handling and upselling- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
