Lunch Hostess

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and personable Lunch Hostess to create a welcoming and efficient dining environment for our guests. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for guests arriving for lunch service, ensuring a smooth flow of seating, reservations, and guest relations. Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and attentive customer service
• Manage restaurant reservation systems and coordinate seating arrangements efficiently
• Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, using proper phone etiquette to handle reservations and guest questions
• Maintain accurate restaurant table management through POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Assist with guest seating by monitoring waitlists and coordinating with the kitchen and service staff
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the host stand area in compliance with food safety standards
• Support guest relations by addressing special requests or concerns promptly and courteously
• Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of hospitality, communication, and guest satisfaction

Experience

• Prior experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with restaurant reservation management and guest services
• Food service experience is advantageous, providing a solid understanding of restaurant operations and customer interactions
• Strong communication skills, including phone communication and etiquette, are essential for engaging with guests effectively
• Basic math skills are necessary for managing reservations, seating counts, and POS transactions accurately
• Experience with restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
• Knowledge of food safety practices ensures a safe environment for both guests and staff
• Previous hospitality or guest relations experience will help you excel in creating memorable experiences for our guests
