We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our dynamic veterinary team. Duties

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures, including anesthesia administration and monitoring.
• Perform laboratory work such as blood draws, phlebotomy, and diagnostic testing to support accurate diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques, including dog handling, animal restraint, and animal husbandry practices.
• Operate medical equipment such as X-ray machines, radiology diagnostics tools, and laboratory analyzers with precision and care.
• Administer medications via various routes including IV insertion, animal catheterization, and injections while adhering to aseptic techniques.
• Support emergency medicine efforts by providing critical care, vascular access, and assisting in veterinary critical care procedures.
• Maintain detailed patient records using veterinary software, ensuring accurate documentation of treatments, medications, and procedures.
• Assist with pet grooming and pet care routines to promote overall well-being of our animal patients.
• Support diagnostic radiology procedures including X-ray imaging and radiology diagnostics to aid in accurate diagnosis.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding treatment plans, medication instructions, and post-visit care instructions.

Requirements

• Valid license as a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or equivalent certification.
• Proven experience in a veterinary setting with knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal physiology.
• Strong skills in dog handling, animal restraint, IV insertion, venipuncture (phlebotomy), and anesthesia monitoring.
• Experience with laboratory work, radiology diagnostics, medical equipment operation, and emergency veterinary procedures.
• Familiarity with veterinary software systems for record-keeping and scheduling purposes.
• Ability to perform veterinary surgical assistance tasks and support anesthesia administration in general or specialized settings such as anesthesiology or critical & intensive care.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques to prevent infection during procedures.
• Ability to handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques across various species including dogs and equines if applicable.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training related to veterinary anesthesia monitoring, pet grooming, pet training, and other skill areas.

Pay: $24.59 - $29.61 per hour
