M & E COORDINATOR

About the role

The M&E Coordinator (Mechanical & Electrical Coordinator) is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and supervising Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) works at construction sites to ensure all activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical and electrical works with Civil, Structural, Architectural, and other project teams
• Coordinate daily site activities with M&E subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers
• Identify and resolve clashes between M&E installations and other building components
• Review M&E drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications
• Coordinate the submission and approval of shop drawings and material submissions
• Monitor daily M&E installation activities and work progress
• Ensure M&E works are carried out according to the approved project schedule
• Inspect M&E installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and project specifications
• Identify defective or non-compliant works and follow up on corrective actions
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities for mechanical and electrical systems

About you

• Ability to coordinate mechanical and electrical works with multiple project teams
• Knowledge of M&E drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications
• Experience monitoring site progress and work schedules
• Ability to inspect installation works and ensure compliance with specifications
• Experience coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers
• Knowledge of testing and commissioning procedures for mechanical and electrical systems
• Understanding of site safety procedures and permit-to-work requirements
• Ability to prepare progress reports and maintain technical records
