M365 Enterprise Migration Architect

Our client needs a senior Microsoft / Enterprise Architect to advise on a Microsoft 365 tenant migration and build the overall migration plan across technical and functional workstreams. The scope covers Dynamics 365, Business Central, Power BI and CRM. You'll coordinate the workstreams, manage dependencies and risks, and work closely with the IS Business Central Solution Owner and business/IT stakeholders. A senior BC Architect is already in place, so this role focuses on overall migration architecture and planning rather than Business Central itself.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on the tenant migration approach and build the end-to-end migration plan
• Assess and manage technical dependencies across the Microsoft platform
• Lead the security assessment covering access rights, roles and integration impacts
• Address licensing and migration considerations
• Provide architecture leadership aligned with Microsoft best practices and enterprise standards
• Define change impacts, governance, responsibilities and DOA
• Project-manage delivery and proactively manage risks

Must-haves

• Senior enterprise architecture background on the Microsoft platform
• Proven delivery of Microsoft 365 tenant migrations (tenant-to-tenant or consolidation)
• Strong Dynamics 365 and Power Platform knowledge, including Power BI and CRM
• Security and integration management: identity, access, roles and integration impacts
• Experience planning and leading complex migrations end to end, covering both technical and functional tasks
• Strong dependency, risk and stakeholder management with senior business and IT teams
• Project management experience across multiple workstreams

Nice-to-haves

• Business Central knowledge (not the main focus, as a BC Architect is in place)
• Microsoft licensing expertise
• Azure / Entra ID (Azure AD) and identity migration tooling
• Governance frameworks, operating models and DOA definition
• Consultancy or Big 4 delivery background
• Microsoft certifications (e.g. Solutions Architect Expert, Dynamics 365 / Power Platform)
