What they need
Mac Operator & Label Coordinator
The Mānuka Collective | Timaru
Love artwork, attention to detail and getting things right?
We’re looking for a technically minded, organised Mac Operator & Label Coordinator to join our Marketing team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. We’re open to considering flexible arrangements, including school hours, for the right person.
This is an artwork production and coordination role rather than a creative design position. You’ll work with existing artwork, make updates and ensure labels are accurate, print-ready and available when needed.
What you’ll be doing
- Updating existing label and packaging artwork using Adobe Illustrator.
- Preparing print-ready files and checking fonts, colours, barcodes, dimensions, image quality and other print requirements.
- Proofreading artwork to ensure accuracy and consistency across our brands.
- Coordinating artwork proofing, approvals and label orders from initial amendments through to production.
- Liaising with internal teams, printers and suppliers, proactively chasing outstanding approvals and orders.
- Supporting food labelling and certification requirements, maintaining accurate artwork files and version control.
What you’ll bring
- Confidence using Adobe Illustrator to edit existing artwork and prepare files for print.
- An understanding of print production, including CMYK, spot colours, dielines, bleed and trim.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong proofreading skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A proactive approach to managing deadlines and following tasks through to completion.
Experience in Mac Operations, artwork coordination, packaging or print production is desirable. Food labelling or certification experience would be an advantage.
