Job Title: Mac OS Cloud Software Automation Engineer- Onsite
Duration: 1 year
Location: Columbus
44811
This role sits at a specific intersection of two skill sets, and candidates need to have both, not one or the other:
<ol>
<li>Cloud/DevOps engineering — Terraform, AWS EC2, CI/CD pipeline building, GitHub workflow discipline
</li>
<li>Strong macOS experience — actual hands-on Mac platform knowledge (packaging, AutoPkg concepts, Mac software deployment)
</li>
</ol>
What client seeing is one of two mismatches:
<ul>
<li>Strong Mac/Jamf admins with no cloud or DevOps background
</li>
<li>Generic DevOps/cloud engineers with no Mac experience at all
</li>
</ul>
Both are equally wrong for this req. This is not a Mac admin role, and it's not a generic cloud engineering role, it's built specifically for someone who can move Mac packaging infrastructure (AutoPkg) into the cloud using Terraform and AWS EC2 Mac instances, then wrap it in CI/CD automation.
Must-haves to screen for:
<ul>
<li>Terraform (IaC, specifically provisioning/managing AWS EC2 Mac instances)
</li>
<li>AWS EC2 Mac instance experience
</li>
<li>CI/CD pipeline building (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)
</li>
<li>GitHub workflow discipline (branching, PRs, code review)
</li>
<li>Strong macOS platform experience
</li>
</ul>
Nice-to-haves (not required, but a plus):
<ul>
<li>Hands-on AutoPkg experience
</li>
<li>Python for pipeline tooling
</li>
<li>Workspace ONE APIs / Omnissa Intelligence
</li>
</ul>
Before submitting, the quick filter is: does this person have real cloud/DevOps chops AND real Mac experience? If either answer is no, please hold the submittal.
