Job Description / Key Responsibility Areas:

A laboratory Assistant supervises and coordinates activities of students engaged inperforming subject related practical’s, technical training, experiments and assignment asrequired to enhance their.knowledge to be as per with the industry by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensures all adequate resources are available for the students to perform practical.Ensures all students are adequately trained to safely perform all required practical andtheir equal learning and competency records are maintained.Ensures compliance with all policy procedures in the laboratory.Provides employee high level of Coaching and motivation and champions in thedesignated field to beat the industry standards and train the students as per industryrequirements.Maintains an “open door policy” and communicates with students and faculties topromote empowerment and accountability.Obtains and maintains an in-depth knowledge of Industry requirements.Understands coaching / training requirements and organizes lab procedures andschedules to provide for meeting/exceeding student knowledge.Fosters student’s confidence in laboratory work to make them industry ready.Compiles and analyzes equipment information to determine operating efficiency and todiagnose problems and malfunctions.Recommends measures to improve working procedures, use of equipment, and needsfor new equipment. Conducts research to develop custom procedures as needed,working in conjunction with lab management / Faculty.Handles required disciplinary matters in a fair and consistent manner and maintainsopen communication with the Lab Manager and the concerned department.Ensures laboratory practices meet or exceed board guidelines and industry standards.May on occasion be required to perform the duties of the Lab Manager.Establishes or adjusts work schedules to meet testing requirements and control costs.Maintains time, training, calibration and records.

Position Requirements / Expectations:Education:B.E./B.Tech In Mechanical

EngineeringExperience: Minimum 3+ years of Industry experience (Teaching/TrainingExperiencewould be an Advantage)

Position - Lab Faculty - Mechanical (who are capable of teaching and conductingpracticals on lathe machines, Furnace, Venturi meter, Bernoulli's Experiment, HydraulicTrainer kit, Pneumatic Trainer kit and other equipment related to Heat Transfer andHVAC lab & other mechanical & Automobile related practicals etc.)

Good Communication skills and Professional Appearance.Demonstrate Multi-Tasking and Team Building/Bonding Skills.Demonstrate people management skills and negotiation skills.Demonstrated record of handling equipment related to specific industry.Identify Student Needs and adapt teaching to accommodate students of differentlearning styles.Demonstrated record of obtaining significant external grants for weekend workshopsand fieldtrips.Demonstrated record of successfully supervising various coaching / teaching modules.
