Machine & Production Operative

Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Machine and Production Operative to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This vital role involves operating production machinery (training will be given). Ensuring the smooth flow of production playing a key part in delivering high-quality products by adhering to safety standards and working efficiently. Responsibilities

• Operate various manufacturing machinery ensuring optimal performance.
• Packing and preparing products for dispatch.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment for mechanical issues or safety hazards; perform basic maintenance as needed.
• Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), to maintain a safe working environment during night shifts.
• Assist with quality control checks ensuring adherence to specifications.
• General housekeeping and maintaining a clean work area.
• Supporting the wider production team as required.

Skills & Experience

• Forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.
• Basic computer knowledge is helpful but not essential.
• Previous manufacturing or production experience is beneficial, though full training will be provided.

Additional Information

• Hourly rate starting at £12.71 for over 21 & £10.85 18-20.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 39.5 per week
