Machine Assembly Electrician

Progressive Systems Inc. has an opening for a Machine Assembly Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside skilled team members to build custom industrial machinery designed by our engineering team for customers around the world.

The ideal candidate can read and interpret electrical schematics, apply electrical knowledge to machine assembly, and install electrical components under the direction of a Lead Electrician. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with management, engineering, and fellow team members are essential.

Responsibilities

• Wire and install electrical components on industrial machinery.
• Thread, route, and bend electrical conduit.
• Lay out, mount, and wire electrical panel components as needed.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform occasional soldering.
• Use hand and power tools, multimeters, and other troubleshooting equipment.
• Perform drilling and tapping for machine assembly.
• Follow all lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, quality standards, and established safety practices.
• Travel to customer locations for machinery installation and service.

Skills and Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Basic reading and comprehension skills.
• Ability to follow directions and interpret electrical schematics.
• Basic computer skills and navigation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work accurately.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Must provide basic hand tools.
• Willingness to travel for machine installation and service.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Schedule

• Monday through Thursday
• Typical hours: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Potential to travel for installation or service

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
