Machine Build Technician (Automation / Mechatronics)

We design and build UV curing and screen printing machines for manufacturers across the US. We're a small team of about 10 in Farmington, and every machine is built start to finish under one roof. You won't be one station on a line. You'll take machines from parts on a bench to running.

What you'll do

• Build machines from drawings and parts lists: frames, mechanisms, pneumatics, assemblies

• Troubleshoot and adjust machines with our shop lead until they run and print right

• When a part or drawing is wrong, sketch the fix (pen and paper is fine) so drafting can update it

• Keep builds organized and help get machines ready to ship

What a good fit can already do

• Read blueprints and mechanical drawings

• Sketch a part or a fix by hand, with dimensions

• Measure accurately with calipers, micrometers and indicators

• Work comfortably with hand tools, power tools and pneumatics (cylinders, valves, fittings)

• Track down why something isn't working, one step at a time

Background

• Mechatronics, machine technology or manufacturing tech certificate or degree, or equivalent hands-on experience

• 1 to 3 years building, assembling or repairing machines is a plus; recent grads welcome

Nice to have: mill or lathe basics, basic CAD
