Machine Operative

Overview

We are currently seeking candidates to apply for our Machine Operator roles based at our Dartmouth Way site based in South Leeds (LS11 5JL).

This is a full time, permanent position with an immediate start available. We also have availability for days, afternoon and nights shifts.

Main Purpose of the Job:

The role exists to ensure that the production and packaging machines operate efficiently and safely in line with production requirements, customer quality standards and customer order requirements with consideration and adherence to site health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• To maintain GMP on the line, for which the machine operator is responsible for.
• To take an active role in product change over’s / start up’s.
• To report all faults without delay to relevant manager(s) to ensure engineers are at the scene to address issues ensuring production is restarted as soon as possible.
• To ensure that the highest standards of hygiene and housekeeping are maintained in all areas - operating a clean as you go mentality.
• To ensure all issues encountered in production areas are reported immediately to the direct line manager.
• To ensure checks are completed and recorded accurately in line with company SOPs.
• To protect the health, safety and welfare of yourself and others at all times.
• To undertake any other reasonable duties as may from time to time be required by the Company.
• To ensure brand integrity is maintained at all times according to business policies and procedures.
• To develop your personal skills and knowledge through self-development activities and/ or training.

Experience Required

• Prior experience in manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards.

Pay: £13.09-£13.42 per hour
