Job Title: Machine Operator 1
Location: Salem, MO
Compensation: $16/hour with additional 10 hours per week paid out at 1.5X hourly wage
(increases to $17/hour after 30 days of successful employment at Odom Metal Works)
Schedule: 50 hours per week (5 X 10 hour days)
Paid Time Off: 5 paid holidays (40 hours), 40 hours of paid vacation after 1 year, 2 weeks of
paid vacation after 4 years
Start Date: ASAP (trial day paid $16/hour cash at end of shift)

Job Description:
Odom Metal Works is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Machine Operator 1 to join our team. This role works closely with the Foreman to ensure the successful completion of operator duties. If you own firearms, it is highly likely that you have used pistol sights which come out of our shop. In this role, you will play a critical part of a team and a “Partner in Arming America!”

Key Responsibilities:
● Load and unload CNC machines with precision and care.
● Perform basic maintenance on CNC machines, including adding coolant and removing
chip bins to ensure smooth operation.
● Measure and inspect parts meticulously to maintain high-quality standards.
● Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Secondary or Occasional Duties:
● Operate and cut materials on a bandsaw.
● Sandblast parts to achieve a uniform and consistent finish.
● Run the vibratory machine to smooth and finish parts.
● Debur parts to remove sharp edges and prepare them for the next phase of production.

Additional Requirements:
● Strong attention to detail to ensure parts meet exact specifications.
● Physical ability to lift, carry, and handle items up to 50 lbs.
● Willingness to work extended hours and maintain reliability.
● Ability to pass a drug screening (including marijuana).

Compensation & Benefits:
● 1.5X overtime pay for all hours worked beyond 40 per week.
● Full-time schedule with consistent hours and a structured daily routine.
● Trial day provided to ensure compatibility between the prospective worker and shop
leadership. During this time, you will have the opportunity to meet both the Shop
Foreman and Owner and determine for both parties if this position is a fit for you.
