Machine Operator - 1st shift (M- Thurs 4am - 2pm)

PURPOSE OF POSITION: To provide assistance with daily requirements of production and maintain a clean working area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparation of required material to run the designated line
• Maintain a clean work area
• Ensure proper quality control of finished product
• Prepare required material for end product
• Notify supervisor of quality defects
• Knowledge to operate any machine in designated area,
• Assist with the training of new operators,
• Set up designated equipment with minimal supervision from Team Leader/Lead Hand
• Follow and adhere to daily production schedule
• Read and fully complete all necessary documentation
• Effectively communicate and obtain crucial work related information prior to shift change
• Clean and maintain tools, designated equipment and machinery
• Troubleshoot designated equipment
• Responsible to ensure efficient productivity and quality for designated equipment
• All other duties as assigned

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Previous manufacturing experience is an asset
• Work experience with minimal supervision
• Able to read a measure tape
• Good communication skills, written and verbal

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• Grade 12 or equivalent is an asset

REQUIRED TRAINING:

• All applicable Occupational Safety and Health Regulations
• Olon specific training for designated position

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF JOB:

• Must be able to lift and carry 20lbs on a frequent basis and 50lbs on occasion

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
