Overview:

This is an Upper-level operator position responsible for operating back-end equipment: Pasteurizers, Ultra-filtration Banks, and Evaporators. This position is also responsible for the cleanliness of the general area and any other duties as assigned

Responsibilities:

• Operates various pieces of equipment, including but not limited to Pasteurizers, Ultra-filtration Banks, HP Filter and Evaporators per the written standard operating procedures.
• Performs routine checks & records results to ensure the highest quality product.
• Perform all cleaning of the various equipment per standard cleaning procedure & records results.
• Cross-training in other various support or backup roles.
• Assist sanitation with CIP’s (clean in place) along with general area cleaning.
• Follow all plant GMP’s along with Food Safety regulations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in a production environment preferred.
• The ability to work overtime on a scheduled or call-in basis, as necessary.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently lift/carry objects weighing up to and including 50 pounds.
• Occasionally lift/move/push/pull objects weighing up to and including 50 pounds.
• Frequently twist, stoop, bend, climb, push, and/or pull.
• Perform repetitive tasks with both hands.

Environment:

• Continuously exposed to slippery/wet surfaces.
• Regularly exposed to work near moving parts/equipment.
• Regularly exposed to moderate to severe noise levels.
• Occasionally exposed to chemicals used in the manufacturing process.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
